Basic properties of ITO tranparent conductive film


ITO transparent film, many customers also named it ITO trackpad film, or PCB. ITO membrane film is flexible, so called flexible circuit touch panel. 

The circuit of ITO Transparent film is printed by Silver Carbon paste, and can be made singer layer, two layers or several layers according to customers' requirements.

The tail of ITO transparent film can be flexible FPC, or still ITO film with silver silkscreen printing circuit connector.


ITO (In2O3:SnO2=9:1) microstructure, after In2O3 is doped with Sn, the Sn element can replace the In element in the In2O3 lattice and exist in the form of SnO2, because the In element in In2O3 is trivalent and forms SnO2 will contribute an electron to the conduction band. 

At the same time generate oxygen holes under a certain state of hypoxia, forming a carrier concentration of 1020 to 1021cm-3 and a mobility of 10 to 30cm2/vs. 

This mechanism provides low film resistivity in the order of 10-4 Ω.cm. 

So the ITO film has the conductivity of semiconductors. 

ITO tranparent trackpad film is a thin film material with a wide band and a band gap of 3.5-4.3ev. 

The excitation absorption threshold for the forbidden band in the ultraviolet region is 3.75ev, which is equivalent to a wavelength of 330nm. 

So the light transmittance of the ITO film in the ultraviolet region is extremely low. 

At the same time, the near-infrared region is reflected due to the carrier's plasma vibration phenomenon. 

So the light transmittance of the ITO film in the near-infrared region is also very low. 

However, the transmittance of the ITO film in the visible light region is very good, because the material itself is specific Physical and chemical properties.

ITO tranparent film has good conductivity properties and high light transmittance in the visible tracking area.
